This one-of-a-kind planter hails from a region called Jaipur, Rajasthan in India known for its art, culture and versatile exquisite handicrafts that is known the world over. Agate has been used as gemstones for thousands of years. The porous surface of agate allows for seamless color dyeing. An artisan cuts the gemstone to the desired shape using hand-held tools. This requires years of experience to acquire precision as its cut freehand. After which, it is carefully polished to give several textures that are outlined with silver or gold. To add decorative aesthetics, the brass is hand-cut and moulded with heat to form planters.
